Website and service terms.
Terms for using the ITC Accounting website and general conditions that apply unless a client agreement says otherwise.
These Terms apply to your use of the ITC Accounting website and to general interactions with ITC Accounting. Client-specific bookkeeping, payroll, reporting, advisory, software or administrative services are governed by the applicable proposal, service agreement, engagement terms, accepted scope or other written agreement (the “Client Agreement”). If these Terms conflict with a Client Agreement, the Client Agreement governs the client services.
1. About ITC Accounting
ITC Accounting is part of ITC Business Services and provides remote bookkeeping, payroll administration/support, reporting, advisory, software setup, training and related business administration services. The exact scope, deliverables, responsibilities and fees for a client are those agreed in writing.
2. Website information
Website content is provided for general information about our services and approach. It is not a substitute for advice based on a particular business’s records, facts and circumstances. Website content does not create a professional engagement or client relationship.
3. Service scope and professional limitations
We perform only the services included in the applicable Client Agreement. Matters involving audit or assurance, legal advice, investment advice, regulated financial advice, valuation, insolvency or other specialist work may require another qualified professional. Tax work is limited to the specific tax-related services included in the agreed scope.
4. Client responsibilities
Clients are responsible for providing complete, accurate and timely information needed to perform the services, reviewing requests and approvals, maintaining appropriate authorization over bank accounts and payments, and notifying us of material changes that may affect the work. We may rely on information and instructions supplied by the client or its authorized representatives unless the agreed scope requires otherwise.
5. Third-party software and services
Our workflows may use third-party products and services, including Xero, Hubdoc, PayEvo, the infrastructure supporting the ITC Accounting Portal, banking connections, payment systems and other connected applications. Third-party services are subject to their own terms, availability, security, pricing and functionality. We do not control third-party outages, product changes or discontinuation.
6. Pricing, invoices and additional work
Published package pricing describes standard service starting points and inclusions. Work outside a package or agreed scope — including additional bookkeeping volume, cleanup, migration, payroll volume, financial administration, training, projects or unusual complexity — may require additional fees. Billing, payment timing, renewals, cancellations and any late-payment terms are governed by the applicable Client Agreement or invoice terms.
7. Payments and financial administration
Where a service includes payment-run preparation, bill-payment assistance, receivables administration or similar financial administration, the client retains responsibility for the approvals and authority specified in the Client Agreement. We do not assume unrestricted authority over a client’s funds unless expressly documented.
8. Intellectual property
ITC Accounting and ITC Business Services retain ownership of their names, branding, website content, templates, workflows, training materials and other intellectual property unless otherwise agreed in writing. Clients retain ownership of their business records and data. Rights in third-party software and content remain with their respective owners.
9. Acceptable website and portal use
You may not misuse the website, forms, portal links or connected systems; attempt unauthorized access; interfere with security or availability; upload malicious code; impersonate another person; or use the services for unlawful activity. Credentials should be kept confidential and access should be limited to authorized users.
10. Privacy and confidentiality
Our handling of personal information is described in the Privacy Policy. Client confidentiality obligations and any additional data-handling requirements are governed by the applicable Client Agreement and the services being provided.
11. No guaranteed outcome
We work to provide accurate, timely services based on the agreed scope and the information available to us. We do not guarantee a particular financial, tax, regulatory, financing, investment or business outcome, and business decisions remain the responsibility of the client.
12. Website availability and external links
We may update, suspend or change website content and functionality without notice. Links to third-party websites are provided for convenience and do not make us responsible for those sites, their content or their privacy and security practices.
13. Liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the website is provided without a guarantee that it will be error-free or continuously available. Liability relating to paid client services, including any agreed limits, exclusions or remedies, is governed by the applicable Client Agreement rather than these general website Terms.
14. Governing law
Unless a Client Agreement provides otherwise, these Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of New Brunswick and the federal laws of Canada applicable there.
15. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time as our website, services or legal requirements change. The current version will be posted on this page with the effective date shown above.
